September Bullet Journal Set Up 2020

August 23, 2020 Comments : 4

September is round the corner and its time to set up another monthly spread! My September bullet journal is an autumnal theme with some cute hedgehog doodles dotted around.

Autumn is my favourite season and although its technically not autumn until the end of September, it’s never too early to get in the autumn spirit. Thats what I’m telling myself anyway.

As much as I love bullet journaling, I have found myself forgetting to fill in my monthly trackers so I have decided to incorporate them in my weekly spreads instead.

I have started a NEW bullet journal journal this month as I’m coming to the end of my previous one. I am so excited to be using an Archer and Olive bullet journal which my amazing best friend gave me for my birthday back in June – I still can’t believe she got one for me!

If you’d like to see a review of my Archer and Olive notebook once I’ve started using it, let me know!

The Supplies

The supplies I used this month are listed below. They are all great quality bullet journal supplies and are good for beginners and seasoned bullet journalists.

  • Tombow Dual Brush Pens – for some of the hedgehog colours
  • VAKKI Dual Tip Brush Pens – for some of the hedgehog colours
  • Muji 0.5 Black Gel Pen – for the black outlines
  • Pentel EnerGel Black Pen – for the black lines and some outlines
  • Tombow Fudenosuke Black Brush Pen – for the black calligraphy

September Bullet Journal Cover Page

Okay, this has to be one of the cutest bullet journal spreads I have ever done. LOOK AT THOSE HEDGEHOGS. I saw some cute hedgehog doodle ideas on Pinterest and thought i’d give them a go! For the font I decided to stick to a simple bubble font with black accents on the headings.

The three hedgehogs balancing on each other was going to be a dutch door but I didn’t want to risk ruining the page so I chickened out. Maybe one day I will pluck up the courage to do a dutch door!

September Bullet Journal Quote Page and Mood Tracker

September Bullet Journal Quote Page

I couldn’t find many autumn themed quotes but when I found this one, I really resonated with it. The quote is a reminder to me that if I work hard I will see progress and success.

I have just started as a full time blogger. At times it seems like I’m not getting anyway even though I’m working really hard but I know it will be worth it eventually.

September Bullet Journal Mood Tracker

Originally I was going to draw leaves and colour them in depending on my mood for the mood tracker but I decided against it.

Although I enjoy getting creative with my journal, sometimes I find the more practical spreads are best.

Having a mental illness means that my mood fluctuates a lot so this graphical style tracker will help me notice any patterns throughout the month.

September Bullet Journal Weekly Spread

September Bullet Journal Weekly Setup

Normally I dont include my weekly spreads in these posts but as most of my tracking will be done weekly I thought you would like to see how I’ve set it up.

I am using a vertical spread for each day of the week and have added the times down the left side. I like to time block my day so this layout works perfectly for that.

I can add in the things that happen everyday at the same time e.g. my morning routine, evening routine etc and then fit tasks around it.

Each week I will track my habits; taking my meds, reading, blogging and journaling. I like to use these check boxes as they are easy to use.

As you can see, my sleep will be recorded in the mini graph. I dont really need to track my sleep anymore as my Fit-bit does it for me but it’s nice to have in my journal as well.

And of course I had to draw one of the cute hedgehogs onto this page too!

Final Thoughts

I hope you enjoyed this September bullet journal plan with me! I can’t believe it’s september already – this year has been one of the fastest but slowest years ever!

What’s your bullet journal theme for September? Let me know in the comments!

This looks so cute! I’ve been wanting to start a bullet journal for ages but I always feel like I won’t have the time or any idea where to start 🙈 this makes me want to just go for it!

Ah thank you Katie! Honestly, go for it! Bullet journaling is the best (I might be a little biased) – I recommend checking out my other bullet journaling posts or youtube <3
