I started planning my July bullet journal set-up at the start of June as I was SO excited to do it! July is my sisters birthday month so I wanted to theme my bullet journal around something we love. I don’t know how many times we have watched Friends all the way through but its a lot! So, for my July bullet journal 2020, the theme is FRIENDS.
I took some inspiration from Megan Elizabeth’s Friends themed bullet journal and some inspiration from Pinterest. Here is the final creation – I’m kinda happy with how it turned out!
July Bullet Journal Cover Page
For the cover page, I went with the classic Central Perk logo and changed it to say ‘Hello July’. I think you can automatically tell the theme from this page! For the monthly calendar, I used the frame on Monica’s door as a border and tried to replicate the colours. I think the black pen is a little hard to see against the purple so maybe I should have used a thicker pen.
Gratitude and Sleep Log
I absolutely love the colour scheme on the gratitude log. It’s so colourful and happy! For both the titles, I used the friends ‘font’ and I love how it turned out! I don’t usually set up my gratitude log like this but I wanted to try something new…
I went back to my usual sleep tracker design as I didn’t really enjoy using the one in my June bullet journal. I think I am going to alternate the colours I use each day so it turns out as colourful as the gratitude log! I love the turkey at the bottom as it adds a ‘friends’ touch to a pretty plain page.
Habit and Mood Tracker
If you’ve seen any of my previous bullet journal plan with me, you’ll know what my classic habit tracker looks like! I jazzed it up a bit with some Friends themed doodles! I may add more doodles in the month but for now, I like how it looks. Again, I used the Friends font for the titles and I think it really does look like the actual friends’ font!
For the mood tracker, I decided to do a simple grid box that I will fill in daily with my mood. I added some more Friends themed doodles and Joeys infamous ‘how you doin?’ quote. Get it? Because its a mood tracker? I found it funny anyway!
For the first quote page, I drew (well, attempted to) the holiday armadillo as that’s my sisters’ favourite episode! I really love the writing of the quote but the drawing is definitely not my finest work.
The other page is more of a doodle page than a quote page. I think it really sums up some of the key moments in friends. Marcel didn’t turn out very well but that’s okay! I got some inspiration for this page from Pinterest so I recommend taking a look on there for some more ideas!
So that concludes my July bullet journal set up – I hope you enjoyed it! I really enjoyed creating this months spreads and I’m kinda proud of how it turned out! What is your theme for July? Let me know in the comments!
