Stop Procrastinating – 5 Habits of People Who Never Procrastinate

September 12, 2020 Comments : 12

Do you find yourself always procrastinating? Do you constantly put things off until the last minute and say “I’ll do that tomorrow”. Do you always say you want to stop procrastinating?

Don’t worry, we’ve all been there – myself included!

Now, I rarely procrastinate due to knowing why I previously did AND having systems in place to beat procrastination!

Do you want to FINALLY stop procrastinating too? Here are 5 habits of people who never procrastinate to help you stop procrastinating today!

Habit 1 – They Make Amazing To Do Lists

I’m sorry but I dont understand how anyone gets through their day with a to do list. Like HOW?

Do you not forget what you’ve got to do and get overwhelmed by everything swirling around in your brain? It baffles me!

Anyway, if you’re anything like me, having a to-do list is crucial to getting anything done during the day.

But whats the different between a normal to-do list and an amazing to-do list I hear you ask? Well, an amazing to-do list is effective and actually helps you get things done (rather than hinders you)!

The qualities of an AMAZING to-do list are:

  • It has categories – just like life, your to-do list should have different aspects of it from work to home life!
  • It has sections – do you NEED to get something done but only WANT to get something else done? Then spilt these tasks up! Being productive is about making the most of your time to get things done that need doing.
  • It’s specific – yeah, you might want to study today but for what? for how long? being specific will help you streamline your goals and actually tick of that task!

Bonus tip: Bullet journaling is a great way to stay organised AND make your to-do lists look pretty! Here are some of my recent bullet journal blog posts to inspire you to start one!

Habit 2 – They Read Perfect Productivity To Finally Stop Procrastinating

Many people tell me that they can’t stop procrastinating but (I know I might get some hate for this) they’re telling themselves a lie!

Procrastinating is avoidable if you know the psychology behind why you procrastinate and how to tackle it!

Perfect Productivity is the solution for beating chronic procrastination!

It will help you beat procrastination, master your to-do list, get sh*t done, all whilst avoiding the dreaded burnout.

It breaks my heart that so many people blame their procrastination on their ‘lack of ability, motivation and laziness’ when they don’t know the real psychology of procrastination.

Luckily there’s a simple process that anyone can follow to FINALLY stop procrastinating!

STEP 1: Work out the real reason WHY you procrastinate (this might surprise you)
STEP 2: Learn how to stop procrastinating with tips tailored to your procrastination trigger

The easiest way to move forward and implement both of these steps (while
getting sh*t done) is to get your hands on Perfect Productivity right here!

I’ve taught a bunch of strangers, family and friends how to stop procrastinating once and for all and I can’t wait to share what I know with you.

If you’re craving more control over your work and procrastination even you’ve told yourself you cant stop procrastinating then this ebook was made for you!

Get it right here and get started today!

Habit 3 – They Use The 2 Minute Rule

I learnt about the two minute rule from the book ‘Getting Things Done’ by David Allen.

Essentially the two minute rule is that, if a task would take less than two minutes to complete, you do it immediately.

These are the small tasks that we put off daily but don’t take much time.

For example, replying to an email or putting the laundry in the machine.

You can also use this technique to tackle bigger tasks such as cleaning your room or writing an essay.

Put on a timer for 10 minutes and do as much as you can in that time. You are most likely going to carry on after that 10 minutes but even if you don’t, you will have done 10 minutes more than before.

Habit 4 – They Avoid Distractions

From your phone, to the cute dog walking past your window – distractions are everywhere!

To help stop procrastination, you should try and avoid all the distractions you can.

Turn off your phone, stop your computer notifications from popping up and maybe even use a website blocker!

It’s very easy to fall into a procrastination rut when you get distracted (especially by social media).

Whatever you can do to reduce the distractions around you, do it!

I promise you will be so much more productive and get loads more done in your day!

Habit 5 – They Make Time For Self Care

Self care is something many people forget about when they’re trying to be productive.

Working 24 hours of the day may sound productive and may be at first but it will ultimately lead to burnout.

Self care is productive. Looking after yourself is productive. Taking breaks is productive.

“You can’t pour from an empty cup”

stop procrastinating and practise self care

I hope this post helps you tackle procrastination!
