I have no idea how it is the end of April already! March went so slowly in my opinion but April? Where did it go! Anyway, I was excited to set up my bullet journal this month and I am pleased with the results.
This month, I changed things up a bit. Honestly, at first, I did struggle to come up with a bullet journal theme this month. So I jumped on Instagram for some inspiration and here is the result! The theme I decided on was…Pandas
The May Bullet Journal Theme…
When I was younger, I was OBSESSED with drawing pandas so this was a very nostalgic bullet journal theme for me! So, if you would like to see how this months set up turned out – keep reading!
Bullet Journal Setup: The Title Page…
This month, I had the idea to create a dutch door of a panda climbing a bamboo stick and I am very happy with how it turned out!! And I really love the way the calendar fits behind the door without taking up too much room (as I don’t really use it a lot).
I added a ‘One Line a Day’ page because, although I am hardly doing anything different due to the lock-down, I like to write something I am grateful for everyday. This just reminds me to appreciate everything and enjoy the little things in life 🙂
One of my favourite spreads to do is a sleep tracker. Sleep is super important to me and I need to have a consistent sleeping pattern otherwise I will. not. function. I use a simple sleep tracker but it is very effective and I think it looks good once it’s complete!
Next up, the habit tracker! I tend to track about 6 – habits a month, any more would probably overwhelm me. This month I am tracking 6 daily habits: taking my medication, reading, meditation, waking up before 8am and practise/learning Turkish.
I’m actually excited to use my mood tracker this month as I’m looking forward to seeing how it turns out!! I have split a ‘bamboo’ stick to 31 chunks and will fill in each day with a different shade of green.
The Weekly Spreads…
I usually have my weekly spreads set out vertically with each hour of the day set out. This month, I used a simple horizontal layout with a section for each day. But, to give it a little theme boost, I tried to incorporate the bamboo theme for the headers.
I make my to mini to-do lists every day and write them here in order to stay motivated and productive. If you are feeling unmotivated and are looking for some productivity tips, check out my last blog post ‘7 hacks to boost productivity’ HERE!
