August has rolled around quicker than expected and it’s already time to share my August bullet journal setup!
July was a strange and difficult month for me in terms of my mental health and I found myself neglecting my bullet journal a bit.
This month I decided to keep the set up very simple and minimalistic so that my journal wouldn’t be as overwhelming.
As you may know, bullet journaling saved my life and really helps with my mental health so when coming up with spreads, I try to tailor it to how I’ve been feeling.
August Bullet Journal Cover Page
Like I mentioned before, I decided to stick to a minimal spread this month and I am really happy with how it turned out!
I used some capital letter stamps to create the titles and I love the effect it gives the spread. You can get these stamps from places like Hobbycraft (in the UK) and Amazon for quite cheap!
The floral design in the middle of the page, adds a colourful element to the spread whilst still being simple!
You’ll see below that this floral design continues throughout this months set up
August Bullet Journal Mood Tracker
For the mood tracker and gratitude log, I will be putting the day of the week down the left side of the page and then writing how the day went and what I am grateful for.
I chose not to do a traditional mood tracker this month as I have found that my mood fluctuates during the day and cant be described by just one emotion or number out of ten.
I will be trying this new technique out for August and will keep you guys updated on how I find it!
August Bullet Journal Quote Page
This quote page is honestly one of my favourite pages I have ever created. I love the use of the pink craft paper and the doddles around the outside.
The quote, ‘trust the universe’, really resonates with me because I am currently going through some uncertainty in my life and I need to remind myself that the universe has a plan and to trust it.
August Habit Tracker
You may notice that my usual habit tracker isnt included in this post and that’s because I have decided to track my habits weekly instead of monthly.
I think it will work a lot better for me this was as I will feel less overwhelmed and will be able to improve week by week.
I will post my weekly setups on twitter so be sure to follow me on there @planningwithem
So, that’s my August bullet journal. I hope you can get some inspiration for your own bullet journal and please tag me on twitter if you decide to recreate this spread.
